Why do we have to devolve the conversation to stupid cliche's of what's not true: i.e. all conservatives are what you describe and the poorly written "gay" joke? Why can't we stop bangin our heads against the wall and wail against what we DON'T stand for and start screaming at these town halls for what we DO stand for? I think once we get a counter proposal with some substance that we can show the congress we can wave that in their face and ask why they aren't supporting what the public wants instead of supporting what the media is telling them we support? I'm sick of the lies on BOTH sides. I'm sick of the playbook being so predictable, and they both operate out of it. I'm so ready for a breath of fresh air. And I haven't seen anyone willing to step up and provide it.

All of this is well and good, but who's gonna vote for this? Come on "bring home the politicians". You think any of these clowns, even the ones we consider the "good guys" are going to vote for something like that? No way. I'm not saying its a bad idea or don't push it. What I'm saying, again, is that top down with this thing won't work. You can't start the reform in DC. You have to start it local, start them pushing back. Then they can rise up and start getting into higher and higher office until someone maybe who came out of your organization actually is the politician pushing this thing in DC. We have to start where we can win, and build.

In the meantime, I think the best thing we can do is keep our heads clear, remain calm, and be the calming voices that quietly but forcefully oppose what is going on. Speak logic, firmly. Don't let our emotions put those that don't agree with us yet on the defensive. Eventually, our arguments will ring true to them and then you will have your uprising and we will get our country back. But not if we play into the hands of the media and act like the blowhard nutjobs they are painting us out to be.

A larger statement needs to be made to our state govt reps. They need to reach down and start holding the federal govt to the constitution and the bill of rights. The problem I always here is that DC doesn't listen to the people until elections. That's because power has shifted almost completely to that place and the only people I see that have the sway to actually yank it back are the states, en masse, saying no to further encroachment on the 10th amendment. The landslide has to start somewhere, but its gonna have to begin with a whole lot of force, and I'm sure the states are the only ones with that power. Begin the change there, and then the people can take over again and push it all the way through.

Unfortunately, the "czar" title is self-imposed code word that politicians use that actually carries no weight or nobility at all. You could call them the big bosses, shlubs, whatever you want, doesn't matter.

The machine of D.C. has become so big and confusing that Presidents seem eager, willing, and Congress(people) let them appoint people to "cut the red tape". No one has ever taken it as far and BHO has. There is only one redress for this. Congress won't do their constitutional duty to oversee this power grab. So we all have to sit and take it until 2012 where then we have the power again to say enough of this and vote him out. Hopefully, we replace him with someone that has enough gonads to gut the govt back down to size. Its so hard to cut it back once it grows, its like a cancer.

I couldn't read through all 80 of your replies but got a general idea. Not sure what you are looking for. I would assume you are looking for some home protection. If that is the case 22 is not a good choice at all. 9mm can be a nice accurate weapon but you are sacrificing power needlessly. I suggest an H&K .40. A lot of people immediately go to low (9mm) or too high (1911, .50). The H&K is perfect balance of both power, accuracy, and ease of use. I was knocking pins down at 40 yards first time I tried it. Makes a lot of noise, it will put someone down if you hit them, and its very accurate. Can't speak to any ammo issues. Hope this helps.

Bottom line is if you are in D.C. long enough you will get touched with the corruption. That's why term limits are so important. You spend more than 8 years there its time to retire. Without the gucci retirement packages they are getting now.

I have a better idea. Don't vote for a progressive. But more importantly, vote for someone who we all understand has a vision that doesn't include the statement "I'm not _____". Lets start pushing for people who are FOR something instead of just against the incumbent.

Just to ease your concerns guys lets look at this. When is the last time the air force shot an aircraft down? Vietnam? The F-22 is a great fighter, it really is. The F-15C is currently the dominant fighter and will be for awhile. No one on the horizon can mess with us in the air with or without the F-22. It would be nice for us Marines to get some of those dollars since we're doing a little more of the heavy lifting right now. And giving it to Japan or Australia I don't think is a problem. We're going to have 187 of them, more than enough.

Don't have time to read the 90 plus replies but I can't agree with you on this. There is a reason that both Dems and Repubics are losing popularity. They aren't really that different. If someone would step up as a legit outside of both parties leader who can unite the 'independent' vote then they would easily win. The problem becomes no one is brave enough to pull the handle for someone the media/society/party systems are going to destroy. Eventually, they have to get the message and the only way to do that is to convince them once and for all that we ARE DONE VOTING OUT OF FEAR OF THE OTHER GUY! Why do we constantly have election cycle after cycle that is always the same theme: "I wont screw up as much as that last guy did." We get republicans, 6-10 years later we get dem's, and so it goes, back and forth. Ultimately, the definition of insanity is repeating the same action over and over expecting a different result. Folks, this country is definitely insane, and we need to all go to some serious political therapy. Down with ALL progressives, regardles off "d" or "r".
