Indeed. I thought it was a hilariously funny article, but then, I was CS'ed countless times during my stint in the Army. The gas chamber is a highly effective tool in that it teaches you that your gas mask actually WORKS.

I can appreciate the devil's advocate stance taken here; it is entirely possible that he is simply incompetent or has a completely incompetent staff.

However, the odds are that he knew exactly what was going on. Ops that cross national borders, intentionally or not, do NOT stop at some staffer or Assistant AG's office.
