When you say "Distincly different beings" you really mean in physical appearrance only right?
There are plenty of gay "families" in the US weatehr you consider them "families" or not.
Man, we are talking about how to get people to and from work. We're not talking about the people who just don't want to work. We are talking about the millions of hard working, eager people who want to provide for their families by working. You guys always sidetrack the issue to the small percentage who are going to be a problem in the system. We're just talking about less than a 100 cars that are going to get people to and from work.
Public transport in this country is a sad joke and you know it....for a number of different reasons that argument doesn't hold water. But, I would agree that where there is a will there is a way. We are not talking about EVERYONE on unemployment bennies, the article only talked about 75 people/cars. I can only assume that the vetting process for a car would be need based upon location of work/home etc.
You guys really don't know how many people have lost their jobs in this economy by no fault of their own. We can all agree that there is a problem with unemployment right now and most of the unemployed are not slugs as is suggested in these comments. Are there SOME leeches out there? Yes. But right now in this economy the problem is unemployment and the solution is jobs. Actually we DEMAND that if people receieve unemplyment befefits then they have to look for a job. If 75 people don't have a car to travel to and from work....how in the hell are they supposed to get off of unemployment status?
Listen, I am normally a survival of the fittest type of guy but in this economic environment we have to look out for those who 1. Want to work 2. Are able to work and 3. Want to be productive in our society. If that means giving them a piece of sh!t car for $6K per year that is better than paying them $50K per year in bennies.
I completely agree. They are trolls that don't have anyplace else to go where people engage them and take them seriously.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN......I PRESENT TO YOU......THE MN VOTER!!!!!! Well done clowns!
Michael Jackson is looking for work....
Clowns.
Let's talk about how our system (which is an excellent syste, the best, on paper) has morphed into something where every election cycle we only seem to have the choice between bad and worse. Bad gets elected and then spends an entire political career working on maintaining political power. THIS is a cause (maybe a symptom) of why we are all so pissed at our current representation. The right seems to only care about the rich (I know it's not always true) and the left only seems to care about the poor (I know that's not always true) but when life is passing us by....no body is representing the common man. How do we fix our campaign rules to allow those without hundreds of thousands of dollars to finance their campaigns to compete for our votes and actually REPRESENT the people, all people, based upon the LAWS of the land, the CONSTITUTION, and our RIGHTS as described in the Constitution?
