I hear ya, which is why I no longer respond to his inane comments.
I normally don't wear sandals here in NM because of the "goat heads". Pesky (sharp) little devils that are a by product of dried up tumbleweeds. :-)
Not just the translation but when one looks at the application of the principles contained in the text. Normally, one should understand the text (translation) in the context in which it was first presented, in order to understand the principle involved. One can then take that principle into a current context to determine if it is applicable to the situation. Too many times people have not understood the principle involved, instead reading in their current context which is how you had people, advocating and denouncing at the same time, for slavery and other issues using the same Scriptures as their support for their position.
I would be interested in hearing your take on the "canonization process".
In my thinking, people send themselves to hell (removal from G-D's presence permanently.) There appears to be only one sin that cannot be forgiven and it appears to be one that can only be committed by a Christian, "grieving the Holy Spirit." Now that may be a whole 'nother topic of debate. LOL
Checking in. It looks like the mod and folks here are right accommodating. One can debate issues as long as one supports their position with facts. Not to mention they set up two, so far, playgrounds for our friend and his buddies to vent. Can't ask for better hospitality than that.
PS: Thanx to Griz and friends.

The Jewish calendar hasn't changed and their time keeping uses the Torah (First 5 books) in Genesis 1 where after each event it says "There was evening, and there was morning, marking the first (second, et.al.) day. (NET) So their days go from sundown to sundown, marking evening then morning of each day with the Sabbath being the seventh day upon which G-D rested in accordance with the Torah.
Then I suggest you also "call out" AB and Big Journalism for the same "lie of omission" committed by Nolte in both his articles. Failing to mention it was in THE BLOG section and linking the disgusting comment on Scarry's personal Twitter account is also a lie and dishonest reporting by Nolte.
I agree Beck and The Blaze should straighten out the inappropriate comments by Scarry. Never said they shouldn't.
"Standards are subjective"? There are also certain journalistic standards that it appears Nolte applies to others but not himself.
The vaunted "education degree or certification" and the process they learn is more important to them than actual knowledge of the subject areas. I think Forrest Gump summed it up succinctly: "Stupid is as stupid does!"
“Educators go through education for a reason,” Squires said. “They are the people who know best about how to serve children. That’s not necessarily true of an individual resident. I’m not saying they don’t want the best for their children, but they may not know what actually is best from an education standpoint.”
Yet there are too many teachers, with their Education degree, that cannot pass a test on the basic knowledge and skills which they are supposed to be teaching. In their minds, the process is more important than actual subject knowledge. And we wonder why children do not learn at our public schools?
