The Wiire : Nintendo Reveals Classic Controller PRO

I actually like this upgrade. Looks like they're taking a leaf from Sony's book with the vertical trigger buttons. I also like the grips a lot better. Maybe it'll stop me from throwing my Classic so much!

The Wiire : Metroid Site Teases the Phazon Out of Me

Ah, my bad. Got it mixed up. But... I still don't understand WHY Retro would put a similar looking ship to Sylux's in Prime 3, unless they were going to do a spin-off or explanation. This COULD be that explanation, but what would it have to do with Space Pirates? Of course, we could be going out on a limb by even thinking this theory is what the banner is for. It could have NOTHING to do with Sylux, Prime 3, or even the Prime series for that matter.

I don't quite the secret ending of Prime 3 unearthed a sighting of the Delano 7, but I do believe that the Prime series shouldn't be over. The only problem I foresee is that, like my last post stated, Huchinson died after release of Prime 3. A very interesting thought just came to me. What if this "side story somehow links Sylux, owner of the Delano 7, to the Space Pirates, thus the "From the perspective of the Space Pirates," and makes the connection of what in the world Prime: Hunters had to do with the actual Prime series, and informs us on who and what the secret ending really meant. And for those of you who don't know the background between Sylux and the Space Pirates, apparently Sylux stole Pirate technology. This leads me to another thought. What if the Delano 7 was the Pirate tech, and the ending was showing Space Pirates? Or what if it was supposed to be Dark Samus for that matter!

First off, if anyone remembers, Mark Haigh-Hutchinson, one of the major engineers of the Prime series died about a year ago. *If* we're going to expect anything else Metroid, it won't be from Retro which could mean two things; Some one could continue the series but have a different style, or another Metroid game, but not necessarily a Prime title. I despise the thought that it could be a Prime: Hunters or Pinball continuation as I personally disliked those games in many ways. (Now, I've played and beaten both games, and I was the one who played over 300 hours of Hunters multiplayer, mostly with bots.) So, as Mike has pointed out, don't get that excited. If they were working on something big, someone would have said something at E3, if not several other places. Plus, Retro isn't one to hide things. Remember Echoes? That looong wait we had to suffer through? It wouldn't be coming soon if they haven't released anything publicly - which they haven't.

JAMES IS COMING! JAMES IS COMING! JAMES IS COMING! YAY! Anyhow... Pretty good episode guys. I wish there were more of you... (thinks of Mike *shudders*) but under the circumstances, it didn't detract from the episode too much. I literally stopped what I was doing, turned around, and tried to suppress my overly exaggerated and high-pitched, "WHAT?!!??!?" when I heard Nintendo was offering health advice. Seriously, what are they going to tell you? WARNING: This product may not be suitable for hardcore gamers!

Great podcast guys; I'm glad you're back. Mike! Glad you're on the podcast! Pretty talkative for a first-timer--or should I say, second-timer.
Concerning the "N64 Wii", I consider this, besides the fact there's no Wii innards, useless. If you want to play N64 on your Wii, get Wii64. And in fact there IS a way to play DVD's on your Wii. Some friends and I download homebrew, and he found an emulation, perhaps a GameCube one, that can download all kinds of features such as a DVD player. I did a quick Google search but could not specifically find it. Here's my Google search, which contains several supposed DVD homebrew: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rlz=1C1GGL... Left 4 Dead is AMAZING! Doesn't really keep you interested for long whiles, but it's a great time-waster and is definitely worth playing at least once. The new Source engine updates are great too, especially considering they will probably use them in Half-Life 2: Episode 3...

Yes. The multiplayer was epic. How much was it, 300 hours I played? And that was with bots...hehe. And Hunters wasn't bad, it just wasn't a good Metroid game.

I didn't think about Hunters, (Mostly because I think it wasn't that good of a game and didn't fit into the series at all.) but I suppose they could fabricate something off of Hunters. Who knows? Maybe Retro is saying they're done to get us off their backs!

As the article states, this doesn't really apply to us gamers. So what if they can make Wiis faster? We already have our Wiis! Will they be able to make more for this holiday season? 1) It's already the holiday season and I doubt they'll be able to get an increase in shipping rate before January, 2) They don't need to ship more. I went into a Best Buy (tech and electronics store) and saw a pile of over 300 Wiis just sitting there. They had Wiis in them, and it was a 10 foot x 6 foot x 4 foot! So despite this supposed "Upgrade" I am not really excited about it. Also with the Metroid Prime Multiplayer, Retro has already said that Prime 3 will already be the end of the Prime series, but not necessarily the Metroid franchise. If they do create a new game, it won't be Metroid Prime.

The Wiire : Introducing The Wiire v4

Thank you for your understanding. It sure helps when you get 5 or more replies saying, "No! This is better than v3! Thumb down for you!" Well, one of my big things is that it's just so different. I know, I can adjust, but I'm so used to being able to see everything without having to search and scroll to just check up on what's going on that day. Another is the advertising. Before you had maybe 2 ads per page, and now on the main page you have 4! I think it really detracts from the appearance. Loading times. This will probably be improved as time goes on, but it takes about 4-7 seconds for me to load the page, and I'm on decent internet. My final big beef is the size. v3 was nice and neat and fit into one small little column without much needed scrolling. With v4, however, it's this big fat block of info that may not fit onto computers with smaller resolutions, and its 1.5 times longer than before (maybe, not quite sure). So there. That's my reasons. I like v3 better. Thumb me up or down, but just because something is newer doesn't mean it's better.

In your opinion. Everyone is allowed to have their opinions. I just think that v3 was easier to get around in and navigate in. I haven't really looked around v4, but I liked v3 better. The Team did do a great job with the theme, I just like the old one better.
