Do I find this troubling? No...I find this tyrannical. Big Brother is using the argument of "well...if you aren't doing anything wrong, than what is the problem?" The problem is that I am not doing anything wrong and my privacy is being violated.

They say "information that could have been obtained through visual surveillance." I would like to follow of few of these judges and lawmakers around all the while in plain sight just in case they are up to something...watch them tell me that they feel like their privacy is being violated. I'm not just taking about walks in the park, I'm talking workplace, public restaurants, backyards, public bathrooms...oh wait, that sounds a bit like stalking, which last time I checked, is against the law.

People, learn to protect yourselves, not just from criminals, but from your civic leaders. Remember Ben Franklin: "Those willing to forfeit liberty for security, will have neither."

I think back to when the Florida voucher program (the largest state voucher program ever) was eliminated by state democrats and the teacher's union. Governor Jeb Bush said that it is a sad day when we take education out of the hands of the parents. Nobody ever mentions failing private schools, but they do mention failing public schools...I'm starting to notice a trend of sentences that begin with "failing government...(pick a good or service)."

Try opening a political blog in Iran which criticizes the government. Comparing Iran to the United States demonstrates just how much you don't know about one or the other...or both. I encourage you to examine Freedom House scores, Corruption Perception Index, or any other international agencies ratings on political freedom and civil liberties, and tell me; In what way does this sound like Iran?

My first thought against non-lethal, is that the rapist may have decided he wanted to kill her this time. Rapists and other criminals are less likely to commit a crime if they think their victim may kill them. I think of Australia when it passed the bans on concealed firearms and the crime rate went through the roof. Conversely, when a man shot and killed an attacker outside an Atlanta nightclub who was trying to rob him and his wife, crime decreased for a while in downtown Atlanta. When Michigan allowed more concealed weapons permits, crime went down.

I understand the desire and perspective to protect life by trying to eliminate guns, I really do. But I think the cost is higher than people realize.

The writing of the Constitution will be a matter of interpretation and debate forever. I feel the two parts are separated as are many other lines of the Constitution that are separated by a comma, and do hold separate meanings. The detail is not neglected, just interpreted differently.

Charlie Crist (we call him Crisp because of his dark tan) is neocon all the way. He wants the money because he has slashed property taxes (which we get a homestead exemption on anyway) which drastically decreased the budget for police, fire, ambulance, and EDUCATION which is why I can't get a job and the county to the north of me announced they are letting go 500 teachers! Florida is tanking and all he can say is "Florida is the most beautiful place on Earth, how can you not be optimistic." It takes more than beauty to run a state.

I wish the Florida charter had the right of recall. I honestly will vote for whoever is running against him in the next election. He is the best democrat we have ever elected.
