Since when does the tea party have a leader. As I have said many times , once the tea party is no longer a philosophy of individuals it is over. This girl is an idiot as are any conservatives that back Newt. I am sorry to name call, but how can anyone back Newt. He is the smartest guy in the room per Newt. Everyone makes mistakes, but not the same over and over, and not so often. I understand that many may find him having an even larger ego than Obama. But I don't know how we could get both of them through a door with such big heads.

I can only hope that polls are inaccurate or we have a large population of very ignorant and stupid people who are blinded by the president. The GOP field has flaws, but any of the GOP candidates will be an improvement over the Obummer.

Ron Paul has been in congress for many years so I don't know if he even read the constitution. Some of what he says has merit, but he is looney toons on most of his other comments. He has the diplomacy of a rock through a window. We lack someone without political experience, but I don't know if that is all bad. Obummer never really served. He was and still is running for another election rather than being a representative to the people. Santelli was the start of the tea party movement. The big difference with the tea party movement and the occupeeers is that the tea party is a movement of individuals and the occupeeers are a movement of groupthink. Never let the tea party movement become anything else or it will be destroyed. Regardless of who I would support, i believe we will get Romney with Bachmann.

Many transactions are set by statute and have to be sent by certified or registered mail. The collapse of USPS would greatly effect businesses, and the legislature is just too slow to react to something this massive. Fedex and UPS are just too expensive to use for most transactions. Congress must act quickly to allow more cash flow to go to operations than to fund retirement funds.

I don't understand the support for Newt. He can say mia culpa til the cows come home, but anyone who sits next to Nancy the wicked witch of the west and does a commercial with her is not the smartest guy in the room. Joanne's post is very informative. The postal system business decisions should not be controlled by the Congress. Also, postal services are not only mandated in the constitution, but in statute and case law. Many transactions in business are required to be made by certified mail or registered mail. We need to find a solution because UPS and FedEx are not capable of delivering the personal and business mail that the USPS does, and 170 billion pieces of mail is a lot of units to make money from.
