What Chavez fails to realize is due to his nationalizing of industries far and wide, no one in their right mind would invest in drilling in Venezuela. Data shows El Salvador has seen more foreign investment than Venezuela in this last year, and they haven't any natural resources to speak of. Going it alone is Venezuela's plan but their expertise is sorely lacking. As it stands today, the top 4 oil producers in order are
1)Russia
2)Saudi Arabia
3)US
4)China
Venezuela isn't even on the list. Both the US and China consume most all of their production thus they export little.

Ed Schutz is right Al Franken is inept. But the most inept senator? What about Barbara Boxer, or Harry Reid? There remain a good number of senators that would battle for most inept of Senators.

A trillion here, a trillion there. Pretty soon we'll be talking about a lot of money.

the US has only been enablers of freeloading countries with both the UN and NATO. Its time for tough love. Let's leave them and rejoin when the rest of the world has spent as much as American taxpayers.
