It is making the hacker community look like 12 year old terrorists. There was supposed to be an agreement within Anon and the Pirate Parties that Operation: Payback would be put on hold, that people should be finding more effective way of combating. I am a member of the Massachusetts Pirate Party and can say that we are working within legal routes to combat government and big business. If you really want to make a difference, rally within your community and speak out as a combined voice.

I am not afraid to kick the door in and take down some companies, but not after trying every option first. It is when they leave you with no other choice that you take action.

Part of my job is being a certified Apple Professional for a fiance firm, so I am spoiled to death.

I have a Dell Inspiron 8000 P3 850MHz (bumped to 900MHz) running Edubuntu 9.04, which I use as my son's laptop now. I mainly love it because it is a 4:3 15" screen that supports 1600x1200, which is massive. This laptop was during the time that Dell actually made decent hardware. Not only does it have every peripheral attachment needed but it also has dual front modular bays and a side CD/DVD ROM. I have two batteries, cd rom, floppy modules for the front. I also have a spare keyboard and other parts harvested from another 8000 I had. It is good for my son because at 9lbs, it is a monster of a laptop with thick plastic housing. Which he will have a difficult time breaking. I also swapped the internal NIC card with a wireless g card and ran some antenna wires inside it. So now it has built-in wifi. I have a PCMCIA NIC card if I need to hard-wire it.

That is an original AirPort card, which is 802.11b. If you can even find a hot spot, good luck with getting any throughput on that.

Also, 10.4 will be the last OS you will be able to keep on that. Most current Apple software is written for Intel only. PowerPC is becoming obsolete. Not because of performance, but from them just not writing code for the processor anymore.

Final note, the iBook is the most pain in the ass notebook to take apart. I also guarantee the hinge is almost seized.
