I was probably learning something or exploring a "bad" routine or method during those years that didn't quite make it much better than the original. More "good" practices makes better work. I hope you had a great time in the craziness that IS SDCC. Sorry, we didn't get to meet up. I bet you have a ton of great photos. Volunteering isn't so bad if you can schedule it appropriately. If you do it again, you can volunteer for evening events and get to have the morning and mid-day to roam the con. Since the exhibit hall is so huge I doubt you can do it all in one day especially your first time. Then there are the panels for creatives and television and movies. So much to do and so little time. Finally the "free" schwag usually has long lines, expect to waste... I mean spend some time waiting... Autographs also require lots of line waiting... thats what volunteers are for... monitoring lines and doors! This year didn't have a bunch of "good" free stuff like previous years... most especially stuff that would sell well... __Theres something for everyone at SDCC and I've found something new and exciting every year that I've been going. I can't wait for next year. I wish I pre-registered for next year the first day I was there... One guy had his stuff all over a seat and by stuff I don't mean the bag of schwag. This other guy came up and asked to sit there or molest it, the story gets vague on the details, but suffice it to say the argument was over this seat in one way or the other. The approaching man, determined to get a seat, decided in front of all these people that it was in his interest to forcibly obtain this seat. For the greater good and probably insanity he didn't think that there would be any repercussions for assault, cause he was justified, right? "You have it all wrong officer, he's actually a cool guy. He had two seats and he wouldn't share, so I stabbed him until he shared either seat. He actually gave me both afterwards, so we're like blood brothers.
