HijiNKS ENSUE - A Geek Webcomic : Yippie-Kye-Ay Mr. Falcon

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang! Bad Santa and newcomer Rare Exports are part of my Christmas traditions, but somehow I keep forgetting that KKBB happens during Christmastime! Okay, Michelle Monaghan wears a Santa hat in a weird Xmas party thing you'd imagine Lady Gaga would throw, but the delicious banter and modern noir-ishness tends to eclipse that. Still, it's a gem worth looking up at any season.

HijiNKS ENSUE - A Geek Webcomic : The State Of The Universe

Fantastic strip, Joel! As a kid I was terrified of aliens. Initially The Silence creeped me out as well, but with the story arc strecthing to eyepatch-ladies and everything to do with River I just couldn't care less about their nasty faces and natty dress sense anymore. It was a whole different ballgame in the 90's though, greys were everywhere and we even had our own ufologist Juhann af Grann popping in every possible media, scaring me shitless. (As well with his appearance as with his stories)

Oasis. They only broke up a couple of years ago and both brothers have their solo careers going on, sprinkled with old hits, but.. It's not the same. (+The Crash but probably nobody knows them)

The movie Dogtooth. All of it. But European disturb-a-cinema aside, I always wanted Eli Roth to direct the Twilight: This Happens When You Have Sex (Even You're Married). 18-year old girl giving births while her hubby is literally eating her? That should be right up Mr. Roth's nasty bloodstained alley of slaughterhouses and torture chambers.

Sported the Ultimate Fancy Bastard button today at my local comic festival, which didn't feature as many drawn-on dicks as TCAF apparently did. BUT there was a hobo!
I want all that junk! Especially the spazdance dvd, Thommo's moves are so phenomenal the late Ian Curtis would be jealous.
HijiNKS ENSUE - A Geek Webcomic : The B-S-G-B-I-B-L-E

Why thank you! But out of all batshitness/plotholier than thou-stuff BSG had, one thing bothered me way too much: When they're deciding to go and rescue Hera, they pour a line of salt on the floor so people can take sides. SALT. ON THE FLOOR. WTF! Sure it's a symbolic gesture and all, but seriously, you're stranded in space with very limited resources! No way you should waste salt, no matter how much you have it in the Very Important Quest-prop storage. I mean, salt (here on Earth at least) used to be expensive because it was hard to get but you could preserve foodstuffs with it. Sure, maybe the algae guck they ate doesn't rot easily? Then again when naming the new Viper Roslin didn't smash the bottle of bubbly, even that's a tradition.

I kinda like the idea of BSG AS a Bible. I mean, there are good parts, bad parts and parts that people will use against it. And Book of Revelation-esque batshitness. (The finale will do for all those parts, except the goodness) It's a whopping volume some nutters take as Best Thing Ever and as a massive weapon to thump non-believers in the head with, but reasonable folks admit that while it has some really god things in it, it's not perfect, ie something to blindly follow. ..And this is coming from an atheist.

HijiNKS ENSUE - A Geek Webcomic : La Mujer Gato y El Luchador Mal

I'm not too keen on Bane, still traumatised with everything reminding me of Batman & Robin. (Poison Ivy would fit into Nolanverse rather nicely, methinks) I don't really know that much about him, but being described as a 90's Liefeldesque villain I can't help but cringe.. However I trust Christ Nolan and Tom Hardy in everything. And if you don't think Eames (he's always Handsome Bob for me) has got what it takes to be a complete monster, check out Bronson. As for Catwoman, Pfeiffer's take was my childhood idol. Maybe Hathaway has a hidden action girl side we are yet to see? Just bring on the news of whether JGL is still on board. And for the next, less serious reincarnation a live action NPH's Music Meister, please!
