I can't tell you how much this made me laugh ---- I clicked over, and it's out of stock.

But wait,

The REDNECK VERSION is available -- being from Kentucky, this may be more appropriate for me.

Isn't it funny --- I have a pair of Doc Marten Mary Janes -- had them for about 8 years now, and LOVE wearing them in the fall!! I'm ready to pick up some different ones, now.

Oh, gosh .... now I'm jealous, of your journalism degree! Your children WILL thank you later for blogging, even though they might think you're crazy now ;)

Oh, you have me laughing, at the recap of your episode at Pat's! I PROMISE if you come here, they will hand you a mint julep and say, "here you go, honey!"

Great work!

Oh, you have me laughing at every step!!

I completely agree with drinking prior to car shopping, if you have a ride. I refuse to car shop. The last time I bought a car myself, my ex-boyfriend's father was a car salesman. I called him up, told him what I wanted, then went and picked it up. Piece of cake.

With our Swagger Wagon, I just told Brett I did NOT want a red van, then left the rest up to him. Easy, no stress. :)

This is interesting -- We subscribe to a lot of the same outlooks as your family -- striving for a balance of 'green', but also smart for our family. Like you mentioned, there's a lot of things that would be better for the environment, but utterly ridiculous for our home.

Thanks for giving me some new ideas, like the local coffee and wine -- Yum!

Your posts are so well thought out, and so well written, I'm jealous! I picture you, in your farmhouse, in a corner chair, with a notebook, writing away ......

After hearing stories about the last BlogHer, I'm very glad that I chose a small, intimate conference to get my feet wet. As much as I love to travel, and meet new people, I'm not sure I would be happy with the huge scale of BlogHer.

Looking forward to reconnecting in Philly!

I love reading these posts -- so you'd better keep them coming! This is a reminder that I really, really really need to get a clothesline set up. My little portable job bit the dust, so I need something permanent.

Oh, I'm laughing, because we KNEW better than to say "i'm bored" in my house. I'm going to pass that same lesson on to my littles.

To Michele, I recently heard a podcast talk about kids and boredom. If children are never bored, there is a loss of creative drive. How can you use your imagination, if never given a chance?

As always, wonderful post!
