Ha! East Dorset was the third course we played. Two courses, yes? One really good.

Went to Studland beach when I was 19 (many moons ago) - are they all still stark blk naked there?

Broadstone is tough, especially if the wind is blowing, but you'll enjoy it.

Tom - are you based near Bournemouth? Have played Broadstone & Purbeck down there and took the family there for a week last year and spent the last day on Sandbanks beach. No sign of Twitchy, though!

I live in Upminster and nearly everyone is West Ham round here. Apart from a couple of golfers in my society, every other supporter - including many season ticket holders, have stopped going. Mostly Pre-Sam to be fair.

For those that can't remember Martin Peters - here's what he could do!

West Ham's lack of ambition meant we lost him to Spurs in return for a washed up Greaves! :'(

If you haven't done so yet - KUMB's 100 greatest moments deserves some of your time!

Tom - I think Taylor slows us down a little, despite his great left peg. As others have suggested, left back would be a decent position for him with, as you say Ve taz ahead. I'm gonna change my mind.

Noble holding with Lansbury & Ve Taz just in front. I would intorduce Maynard for whoever is not performing out of the front 3.

The good thing is, we do have some options now and won't be seeing Carew or Piquionne any time soon!

I'm with SteveNo6 - I would play Noble just in front of the back 4. He can pick up the ball and distribute it either flank or better still, over the top of Soton's defence.

To make this work we need some pace up front with Cole. My preference would be Maynard or Baldock who actually hasn't done anything wrong in claret & blue yet appears to be going down people's pecking order. If he gets some service, I beleieve he will deliver.

.............................................Green
JOB (Demel when fit)........Tomkins......Faye........McCartney
............................................Noble
..........................Collison.....................Lansbury
..........Faubert........................Cole......................Baldock

Subs: Reid, Maynard, Ve Taz, Taylor, Hall

How's that for a statement of intent?

He'll be stupid to start Tomkins in MF, Roy - he is our best defender and has to play at the back.

No way BFS will start with that line up, or that formation. Morrison won't even be on the bench.

I expect he'll play 4-5-1 dressed up to become an attacking formation! If we try to play a holding game, as we did at their ground, we'll get beat.

I would like to see at least one of the new boys and we shouldn't forget Baldock either.

At least we have options now, but the defence still worries me.

Not sure I would wish to compare Nolan with a man with Terry's record or family?

Personally, I hope Terry isn't selected for the Euros. Not just because of his "personality", but he isn't that good at football, either.

True, Roy, but it's difficult to judge on bare statistics alone. He showed me enough to think he should have been given some run in the side, unfortunately, he wasn't surrounded by many if any Spanish speakers, which makes it difficult to settle.

I would still take Montano or Montenegro over Piquionne on the left any day. If they're not up to replacing HIM, then there's no future for them at West Ham.

Roy

Real Zaragosa are currently sitting bottom of La Liga. Barrera has started 12 games and come on as sub in 5. He has had 4 shots, scored 1 goal and no assists.

Not much to write home about.
