I put on some music (if it's not already on). I try to find something to do that lets my mind wander while being in a zone -- doing prep work for cooking does that. Being outside, walking, even better -- hiking. Long-distance drives. Really good art museums -- how I miss the National Gallery of Art and others in DC! Reading and not-reading (holding the book but watching everything else) while at the beach. Reading a good book while on a plane -- need at least a few hours and a fairly comfortable seat.
