That first kid was great! Then it went down hill from there, though as one poster mentioned, it did seem to mention free-market, too...but was it derogatory? Wish there had been subtitles.
I agree, we certainly need a Romney in this climate...though squeaky clean, I can't say for sure. I'm LDS, like him, but I know enough to say- he's STILL a politician. I'd take him over any other candidates though. As long as he leaves Romney Care at the door.
As a conservative Christian, I heartily agree on this one. You made a good point Jill. we'd be going nuts if a Muslim cleric prayed to Allah. What we do and believe as individuals needs to be different from what we ask the gov't to do. I think if we know we are addressing a group of like minds, praying in Jesus' name is wholly appropriate. But in mixed company, it does not diminish us to defer to God in our closings. what diminishes us is when we insist He be defined as only we believe. We lose lots of conservatives and traditionalists that may be Jewish, Muslim or even agnostics or athiests when we insist they accept a Christian prayer- no matter what. Conversely, one could argue what does it diminish them as a minority to listen to a Christian prayer offered on their behalf. And I actually see that point very well, too. However, as we are trying to make a national movement out of this We Surround Them sentiment, we don't need to be excluding or alienating those whose definition of God may vary from ours.
