I don’t know how true this story is. I can find dozens upon dozens of blogs referring to the casting call, and I have found casting calls for this movie, but I haven’t found THIS official casting call.

I agree. There's a double standard here. Mindless pap for men featuring sexy women & things that blow up: good. Mindless pap for women featuring hunky men & angsty love: bad.
