Does atheism fit the definition of a world view, as provided in the post? I've heard people argue atheism is a worldview, and some argue it isn't. From that definition, a negative statement ("God does not exist") does not appear an adequate basis for a worldview. Atheism makes claims about what is not, but does not make claims about what is.
