Hmm. It all depends on whether you think Gold and Sullivan can do the job as well as or better than Nani, which I seriously doubt. Who is going to search out all the emerging international talent? Daprela, for example, is going to be a fantastic player and I doubt very much if Gilbert and Sullivan would have the wherewithall to discover a talent like him.

I can see the cost cutting logic, but isn't this cutting off your nose to spite your face?
