I'm pulling my hair out! Please help me someone. I have just updated my 3g to 4.2.1 and now I can't seem to get my iphone to recognize there's any music on the there. If I sync photos, apps, contacts, anything else but music it's fine. But music, Itunes will say there is "so and so" amount of gigabytes worth of music but my iphone will say there is none. So after googling around for two days I can't seem to find a resolution. I want to do a full restore. Being as how this is 6.2.1 I can't do a factory restore. Is there any custom ipsw's for 6.2.1 for a 3g? Or are there any solutions to this problem i'm facing? tl;dr music isn't recognized on 3g, want to do a custom ipsw restore, where can i find one?

Thank You Dev Team! ... for not forgetting PC users this time! I often complain with every update that there is no mention for pc users i.e Redsnow, but this time ... I am a happy tyke. Thanks again for working hard for us.

correct. There is no way for pc users to use a pc to keep their baseband if you want to upgrade to 4.1 or if you are already at 4.1 to change your baseband or even "UNLOCK" your 4.1. You should be waiting for ultrasnow to unlock the 4.1 This might come in november when 4.2 comes out. Keep your eyes peeled then.

it works properly but very slow. and I don't know anything about apple disabling it. Cydia does give you an option to disable multitasking. on 3.1.3 i used backgrounder to do all my multitasking needs via a 2g with horrible ram and it worked faster than my 3g is currently with multitasking. The difference is, multitasking puts those app to sleep or hibernation till you open them again, backgrounder doesn't instead will have them running fully in the background. Gotta be careful with that though and i'm not for sure if backgrounder will run on 4.0 os. You can look into that.

this is true. Might consider. Probably won't because now that rock is gone I don't wanna to spend forever downloading all the essential apps from cydia all over again.

I'm so angry. Dev Team doesn't care and never cares about windows users. They didn't even mention anything to windows users to maybe wait and that they haven't forgotten about us but history shows (i've been coming here for two years) that they always come out with MAC first and sometimes just sometimes will they help out windows users. :( I hate 4.0.1 so much. My 3g is too slow to handle it. I have to wait minutes for anything to happen and thats because of my firmware version.

This could be the wrong time to ask this, But I can't find anywhere and i mean anywhere on how to take my 3.0 icons and revert them back to old school 2.0 The only one that gets in the way is my message icon whenever i want a matching theme that im using from Winderboard. That dumb message icon gets in the way. Any advice?

im very confused. what about my 2g? I don't see instructions or any tips on upgrading to 3.1 ? Should I just take my same version of 3.0 redsnow and use the same ipsw that is being made for 3.1 by apple and use it with redsnow? Seems awfully odd to try that. I'll just wait.

when the instructions for Redsnow popped up to correctly put in DFU mode did you do it right? You can try this. Do a shift click 'restore' on Itunes. Find your old ipsw for 3.0 which is in application data usually. Then let it do its thing, once thats done, close itunes, open redsnow, re find that SAME ipsw you used with itunes then turn your iphone off while connected and follow its instructions. :-/

Synthtopia : BT & Sonik Architects' Sonifi For iPhone & iPod Touch

im using it as we speak. honestly at first, i was like what am i acctually controlling with this app. i hear good as hell techno music, but where do I come in? So I played around with it a little more and started to realize, this is suppose to be a super (and i mean super) way to create, recreate and damnit recreate your own remix to just 1 song from world renowned Trance artist BT. BT caught my eyes and ears as a kid growing up in the electronic music world. But I came to this app very biased. Just simple as a pro-sumer consumer with a love for music and remixing. There is quite a few tools and different abilities here for you to take 1 song and turn it into well almost an ever-changing song that you can create with your fingertips. its easy. you learn with your eyes and ears. i like the option to mix, but i don't like the fact that i can't hear what others have mixed as well through the app itself. at least if i could somehow upload it to a site where we could all share our mixes would be nice. but then again, even though I said you can create your own version, its still a remix and a remix is still a part of that original song. So how diverse we can get growing a community from just a app. maybe not the best idea, but I was considering it useful. Maybe in the future. I'm looking forward to more and more songs to be released. So far, im having fun playing with this. And if im lazy, I can sit back, pick a few tabs from the 'lead, synth, bass & beats' area and listen to a full song play before my eyes. Ya thats right, I dont even have to do anything. Hopefully with an update, they can fix the sensitivity on the stutter effect.
