But they didn't try to pretend that there was such a thing as 'Islamophobia' until the mid-1990s, and even then, nobody listened to that nonsense until after 9/11 when they started pushing it more strongly. Not that anyone has ever shown any sort of statistical proof that there is any such thing as 'Islamophobia' in the US.

"Islamophobia" actually started in the mid-1990s, well before 9/11. Nobody bothers talking about it per-2001 because it was even more ridiculous then.

What's really funny is that it's the second letter of the Hebrew alphabet that we often see as a name: Beth. If she has another daughter, it'd be perfect!

Exactly right - but even now the likes of Falk are trying to blame the US (and NATO) for finally doing anything about it. And he's supposed to be some sort of human rights expert!?! It's unbelievable.

Sure, Gaddafi controlled a country for 42 years. So let's say that the US President shouldn't tell him to step down. Who gets to tell him to leave then? The Libyan people? Oh wait, they already did that....

Call me contrary, but I don't see it that way - as long as it's Western democracies (i.e. the same nations that have created international human rights law to begin with) that get to set the rules for due process - and make sure that those rules are applied to everyone impartially. But that does lead to the real point - who gets to make the rules?
