I've seen every Seinfeld and loved Rodney Dangerfield but I never heard either reference Shakespeare.
Try to separate your politics from your entertainment. Denigrating Farrell's talent does not help your political argument.

I believe you may get your ass kicked for saying something like that.

(On a much lighter and slightly sophomoric digression; Kristy Swanson is one of the hottest women on the planet. I'm guessing her participation in the race didn't hurt troop morale.)

I completely agree with your reply to mine. Really, when I look at both of our comments, it seems like we are in agreement on the facts but merely debating semantics. In fact, I think you could make the same case for many of the comments in this thread. No, this country isn't a Theocracy but is heavily influenced by the religious beliefs of our founders and it's people. Correct me if I am wrong but India could be characterized the same.
I laud your efforts to add to the intelligent discussion and debate as to the direction of our country and it's current President. I also agree with your point that it is much easier to cast Obama as Un-American than a man/woman with a more traditional American name. I do not believe that calling the President Un-American accomplishes anything. I completely agree with your point that we should stop the petty name calling and save the debate for things that matter and are entirely within the realm of responsible discourse.
The only thing I would argue is while America is full of different opinions and ideologies, and there is no "American" ideology, there is one thing that has been an undeniable part of the American ideal from day one and that is self-reliance. We as a country were founded on this ideal and individually as people were shaped by it. That is the main reason that I think the President's policies offend so many Americans. It ties in with the same ideals of freedom and liberty, which as you already mentioned are the ideals that make this country great. The policies of the President seem to take the power out of the people's hands and put their fate in the government system. The strength of this country has been and always will be its people. You are a great example of such. You obviously have learned a great deal about your country and by adding that to your Indian heritage and Hindu faith you have a unique perspective on things that others should be able to learn from. It is that diversity that makes America stronger.
I do agree that while I may disagree vehemently on the President's direction for this country he is doing what he thinks is best. I do not believe he hates America of Americans. I don't think the evidence supports such a supposition. I wholeheartedly agree with our assertion we should stop the petty name calling and have a debate of substance and with the goal to find a common ground.
I thank you for your comments and laud you for your efforts to keep the debate about the facts and not fall into the trap of name calling and infantile insults. Both conservatives and liberals could use a lesson on doing so themselves.
