Big Government : A Post-Obama Vision in 100 Words

Santorum was in a blue state but he didn't run to the left like Romney. That's a conservative. Now, what's conservative about Paul? His wanting to cut the military to balance the budget? He insists on this point when questioned, that's his base. Sorry, there's nothing conservative about that. The Federal government's job, constitutionally, is to provide for a strong defense. I think it's down to Santorum and Romney. The rest are just spoilers.

Where to begin here.. West would be a great choice for any candidate as a running mate. Now, on to bursting your bubble. Paul won't be the nominee. In fact, he probably won't be on the ticket. He's better off being appointed as the Fed Chairman. Now, I can tell you're a Paul supporter, because no one else would honestly think Mr. Mitt Fantastic Romney would pick such a controversial running mate. That's pure fantasy, when everyone knows his track record of capitulating to the left as a way of avoiding controversy. He would pick Olympia Snowe before he picked Paul. Heck, he'd pick a Democrat news anchor with the 360 program. Someone the libs like, with good hair, but not better hair. That's the key for Mittens. Rick Santorum could win in a blue state like Philly running as a right to life, strong national defense conservative Republican, he is LAND SLIDABLE over Obama. Why? The roadmap to electoral victory is conservatism, Exhibit A: Ronald Reagan 1980 and 1984. Mittens, Gingrich, and Paul all turn off the base because they are not conservative.

Rick Santorum, I hope you're listening. You are in a position to pick up on this. Look, find your voice, or The Moderate from Liberalville is going to be the guy we have to vote for on election day, and we know how that worked out in 2008.

Dr. Berry, truly an outstanding article for the Bigs. Content, comparisons between what multiple sources are saying, and your clarity in describing each. A SHELL GAME. One more important thing -- I got to laugh at Obungler. Less than a year to go -- thanks for helping us get through.

Big Hollywood : 'The Rebound' DVD Review: Zeta-Jones' Straight to Video Rom-Com Can't Realize Potential

This is so blah. There is ingrained in our culture the idea that the only cool, hip places for a gal to be are the big cities. I guess they don't mean the welfare ghettos. This is the fare we get from folks who believe that the void between LA and New York is full of bible thumping hillbillies or something. On the contrary, the big cities, the big towns, tend to breed women with a very narrow liberal point of view. They also lack freedom in their thinking, so they can't understand why the promiscuous lifestyle that MTV is pushing is bad for their future kids(the ones they don't abort), but great for them right now. Raised on self esteem instead of humility and hard work, so many of them pursue vanity until they realize what a dead end they are in. By then, it's too late, you can't easily go back and grow up again, this time in the kind culture that values hospitality, family, home, country, honor, pride, and the like. By the time they've discovered how hollow their "upbringing" has been, they are ready to start claiming that they did their best, that they were in the most open environment, and everyone else must have been much more whorish and conniving, especially in the country. They forget that it is the liberal dogma that permeates the city that shuts out pride, honor, moral virtue, and patriotism -- these things that country girls cherish. The bitter hags and beaches would rather go on living a lie than accepting this truth. So you get a lot of scorn and resentment from them, and a lot of them work in the media and advertising. These parochial snobs think they are worldly, yet can't even understand what it means to live a life without taxis and mass transit. They sneer at truckers and pick up trucks but couldn't change a tire if their lives depended on it. Man I really am sick of them and glad I left the shift hole, NYC. Good bye and I ain't coming back! Damn this movie was a terrible idea!

This is awesome, I don't see how Obama can veto a 97 vote Senate, he might as well say "I'm the 1 percent and proud of it, suckers" during an election year.
Big Government : Romney Romps in Florida

I just want to say that Florida elected some real RINOs in the past and a large portion of its population is very liberal. This primary has less to do with the average conservative and more to do with the establishment trying desperately to pick their candidate. Are there not another 46 states left to go, where Republicans who are anxious to defeat Obama are still waiting to cast their votes? I say, this Florida election, which will only garner half the delegates, is going to be seized on by the establishment, and wrongfully so, and we should reject it and ridicule the establishment for going along with Obamalite, which is Romney.

Big Government : Sources: Exit Poll Shows Sunshine State Blow-Out For Romney

As much as I would like to see more space exploration, the Shuttle (aka Cape Canaveral) is over, case closed, era over. We will rely on other means and possibly even private enterprise in the future, and that will make space travel better and create better jobs for engineers and entrepeneurs instead of a 40 year old clunker that runs on solid gold. But why bring up Newt? I guess you took me for a Newt supporter.

Big Government : Senate to Vote on STOCK Act This Week

Great book by Schweizer, we haven't seen much out of congress but it looks like Peter Bachus might lose his chairmanship. If the STOCK act passes now, it will be a big victory -- hopefully not a symbolic one. I'd like to see some harsh penalties and jail time for some of these crooks ANYWAY, but I'll take what I can get for the time being. Insider trading has attracted some of the worst, worthless scum to public office, and you wonder why we have such stupid laws being passed. We should not let anyone write laws who cannot live by standards at least as high as our own. Period!

As a marine at sea I have experienced the games the Chinese play. It is easy when there's two ships to follow around and they always stay together -- you can track that with one sub. I don't think I'm giving away any secrets here. I love this approach, and it makes a lot of sense. And it is a lot better than knowing that the only reason you aren't getting sunk is because they don't want to start a war with us.
