Unions provide health care..so the US government wants to become a Union with Universal Health Care. Medical mistakes are going to happen regardless if Health Care is Government run or privately run. THAT is why Healthcare costs are so high! So instead of private insurance companies paying for lawsuits.."We the taxpayers" will pay the Millions instead. In a way, we are already having a version of paying in 1 way or another. So what exactly does the Government think it's going to change? More power and rationalizing treatments? NO THANKS!! I keep seeing these people that are for Healthcare reform mentioning greed of the elite and powerful Doctors (which have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness) but what about the greed of malpractice lawyers. Do those same people really believe that quality of Healthcare will be better with this reform and that there wont be MORE medical mistakes?

I understand you are for Health Care reform and that costs are very high. The problem is compensation for Medical Malpractice. That is what's driving costs through the roof. People sue for millions because of permanent damage done by medical mistakes. Sooo...we go towards Government Health Care option and who now pays for these Millions of dollars for medical mistakes? To understand rising Health Care costs you must first identify the source of why. Obama was booed because he did NOT address the issue of capping medical malpractice compensation. So is it the greed of elites who have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness? Or is it the greed of people suing for Millions of dollars because a Dr. screwed up and botched a treatment?

In MD my mother-in law is a retired Government worker. She retired last summer with full benefits, pension and a 401 k. So recently, the State contacted her and wants to PRIVATELY contract her for work. They bought her a laptop and whatever else she needed. So why a jobless person out there not getting this same job is beyond me. If this was supposed to be job creation from this stimulus bill...then the Government really doesn't have a clue!!
