Still classy. What other actors would put themselves through that for the truth of the part?
Waterboarding in general. Let's face it, they are not dragging innocents off the street for it. The ones they are interogating in this manner know someone/something or have been with people who do BAD things. If we can stop one bad thing from happening using this technique that leaves no permanent damages whatsoever, well, go for it guys! It's not like an iron maiden or a rack, for creeps sake.

Dying for two reason: 1) the music today just plain sucks, 2) as opposed to the radio/album days when there were basically two ways to listen to music and essentially one way to purchase it, now there are dozens of ways to listen and purchase. And the purchases are become more and more 'micro-tized' where only the one decent cut off the album is purchased. There is no way any longer for 'the labels' to package and promote their product. Say what you will about it, but 'payola' to disc jockeys resulted in the extraordinary emergence of modern rock and roll. Without it, who knows? Does Elvis ever get discovered?

What you suggest is a sort of 'prisoner's dilemma' for the content networks. If any networks can steam directly to consumers and get paid directly for the usage, then the ones that can do so will, and would pull out of the packages. Some would make much more money for their effort and many will fall away because they wouldn't get subscribers at all or their price would have to be sky-high in order to cover expenses with fewer viewers.
This would 'shake out' the poorly-attended networks for sure. Probably, before that could happen, the Gub'mnt will step in and demand that the successful networks would be required to stay in the packages in order to support the OWN, MSNBC laggards.

"Imagine being able to access your entire DVD collection from your Blu-ray player?"
Huh, what is the point of this? With services such as this the 'cloud' will become cluttered with tens of thousands of personal copies of thousands of films. What an enormous waste of space and bandwidth. With standalone, networkable hard drives available with multi-terrabytes of space on sale at Costco for a hundred bucks, and with televisions now accepting input from all sorts of HDMI devices, one could back up and more instantly access their own movie libraries without paying 'Hollywood' an additional jolly-ole-penny, to see something you've already purchased. Even you will be able to stream up those videos from remote sites or multiple sites. This is the way that things will go.

Clark Gable vs Robert Pattison? Sidney Poitier vs Chris Rock? David Niven vs Tayler Lautner? Burt Lancaster, Marlon Brando, Steve McQueen, James Garner, Henry Fonda... on and on. We used to have MEN be leading men. Now all we have is these little pansy boys indistiguishable from their female co-stars except for the clothing (and their little peach-fuzz facial hair).
Even so...look at any of the bona fide MEN in film. Clive Owen, Liam Neeson, Hugh Jackman...other than Chris Pine, can you think of any other Americans who are real MEN?
