There is so much that offer strong cases against his credibility that I am shocked that the reviews are the way they are on amazon.com. In a mere few ours I got 4 unhelpful votes thanks to ID proponents. I even ask in here for comments as you can see, but do I get any? No I do not. Yeah the book isn't too long at all and it only took me a couple days to read and I'm actually a pretty slow reader. But I do highly recommend it! Db0, I wasn't criticizing Harris for not bringing those arguments up. The book is brilliant. I was simply saying, I'm sort of surprised he didn't touch upon those ones in particular to add to the book, because it wouldn't have added too much to an already fairly short book. I agree that to write EVERYTHING would be too daunting. Even I didn't mention everything in my review like the Prayer response. (i.e. when you pray to God the answers are "Yes, No, and Wait". Mathematically these are literally all possible responses and thus God can seemingly never be wrong and answers every prayer. This is nonsense.) So even in my points I wasn't saying he should mention all possible counter arguments, I was just adding four more that I was surprised didn't make it into the book.

I see where you're coming from, but I still stand my point that if you're going to enter into a foray such as this, have your evidence and be ready to explain it. Don't give us a list of random stuff and expect us to do the years of research you've done on it. That's really all I ever ask of anyone is be able to logically back up your points, let others try to poke holes in it no matter how harsh they seem. You frankly didn't do any of this. When I refuted your points you merely said "go read this author", but that doesn't counter the 20 books I've read on the same topic discussing the same issue. As far as I can tell, I have more evidence and PhD's backing up my commentary. Just some friendly recommendations from me, next time you want to debate these points out with people.

so uh... don't use the dictionary to define the word faith in the English language... but instead use the Bible to help define words you want to understand in the English language. Where have I heard this argument before. *Looks up foreshadow on biblegateway* This word isn't in the Bible, it must not be a real English word, what are we to do?? Well the Bible's never wrong, so all English dictionary's are probably wrong, we'll have to strike it from the record, God can never be wrong. Worst argument EVER to try and define faith... try again, because when it comes to arguing semantics you're failing this one.

I don't even know what equidistant letter sequences mean, so it's on YOU to tell us if that's your proof. Evolution outside of a kind is a fallacy. Weird.... they just found this 7 million year old fossil that clearly links apes and humans. Older than the Lucy fossil they found years ago. So uhm... I'm supposed to pass off his commentary as being "okay" simply because he's been doing this for 30 years. So, because he makes insane statements like he did in that video then I should be like "oh that's okay, he's been doing that for 30 years, he doesn't mean any harm." Man that's crazy talk and that's probably not how you meant it, but that's how it sounded. Honestly, I didn't find his remarks that out of sorts for the Calvary Chapel, I just said those people were totally crazy and aren't doing the world any good spreading their filthy lies. Same with that guys take on homosexuality, he was interpreting the Bible to fit his own prejudices, so that he could justify his need to dislike homosexuality and homosexuals. This way he could continue feeling good about himself even though he was just being hateful and prejudiced. Just because you want to live in a mental delusion, be my guest, but don't come into the public arena and expect people to pat you on the back and to say "way to go!" And I don't know how I didn't do my research, I found he was associated with Calvary and I watched your silly video. I'm not going to go and watch every single internet ad-clip on the web of his speeches so I can feel cool, I seriously have WAY more important things to do with my time. Like doing math...

That's not the point, we're well aware it's not the "believers" that want the control, they want us all to be controlled by Jesus. So, in the end, someone is controlling, just because it's not you... you're just a recruiter, doesn't make you guilty of the sin of forcing slavery on people that don't want it. You just use words like "sin" to ensnare and shackle people for your lord and master. Don't try to act like you're doing it for the good of the world when you're just a secondary slave trader. Actually I already read that insanity on the cosmicfingerprints thing and he had ONE requirement. "If you can find one other thing in the universe then it will prove DNA is not a code." Look at spirals and their mathematical ratios. Yes, it's the golden spiral. All spirals. The galaxy, the ones in smoke. ALL. Wow, I just crushed your world didn't I?... isn't it cool to actually know something outside the Bible... like math. And for the DNA coding sequences, I read quite a few books on this stuff and a lot of scientists say there are a lot of viral sequences on there. I wonder how that plays into your "god of love" concept. Oh and just because you have your PhD in Chemistry doesn't mean you're right. Einstein was wrong about things in physics too. Imagine that... PhD's with erroneous beliefs... what kind of a world do we live in.

Thus I will interpret the Jacob vs Rebekah story as I wish in the context of this forum. It's just a bad Bible story whichever way you look at it. Anyway, by all your biblical tests or whatever, I passed them. This isn't my own "definition of sin" it's yours. The part that infuriates me is that even though I pass your silly tests you "faithful" still insist I'm a sinner. Because you can't get over the fact that someone can even meet your requirements. Hey, just because you enjoy being verbally abused by your God doesn't mean you have to load that baggage on me. Sorry to do two posts in a row, but I JUST watched this video. And I have to ask, Brian are you insane? That guy is from Calvary, they are an extremist Christian organization. Not to mention this Chuck Missler fellow is a total hack. He's making statements about biology and nature when he's not even a doctor! He makes broad based statements that homosexuality is no different than an addiction like alcoholism. He completely ignores genetic factors and it's NOT an "addiction". People who refer to things like homosexuality as an addiction are insane and wrong. Just because you want to justify you're intolerance and prejudices doesn't make you right! This interview is simply odious. The rise and fall of empires due to homosexuality is idiotic at best. Rome fell because of homosexuals? Talk about general insanity and psychopathic teachings, not to mention a blatant misunderstanding of how population growth works. You're nuts if you believe all this stuff. Sorry to be harsh, but it's true, you need to talk to a psychologist if you're following the Cavalry teachings.
