A grown man having sex with a nine-year-old girl is morally wrong. Period. It doesn't matter whether it was legal 100 years ago or if her parents willingly gave her over and made suggestions for sexual positions to use. It also doesn't matter whether Aisha had gotten her period. It does not make her an adult. Not physically, not emotionally, not morally. I don't believe in cultural relativism. Having sex with nine year old girls 1400 years ago is wrong. Having sex with nine year old girls today in Muslim countries is wrong.

It's really sad how easily a dose of religion will make people willing to condone horrible things.
