"Even the EPA itself admits that too much is at stake." Till after the election they will take this position. But I bet if they win the election they will do what the court wanted unless the Republicans are smart enough to make that impossible.

Conservatives also need to remember the GOP's tendency to over react and be over punitive to their own when the Dems make a charge against one of them. The GOP has a history of avoiding conflict with the Dems. They either refuse to fight the charge or they quickly have the attacked member resign just to get away from the negative garbage the Dems are throwing at them whether the charge is true or not. Gingrich was cleared of the serious charges and many politicians on both sides resented him for a lot of reasons one being that he reduced government. Republicans have embraced big government right along with the Democrats.

Well, I'm pleased the superintendent of the one school district decided that students were the priority instead of the union. That's a start. It is stunning that they had to rediscover that. Now we know one of the reasons that public education is a failure is because the money is going to the unions. Wonder how many people are drawn to teaching simply because of the union? It could very well be that a good education and unions are not compatible. If educators forget why they are there when a union is involved, then it doesn't work to have unions in education. And this is only one problem in education. Another is the leftist indoctrination agenda.

The establishment has been trying to end the primary process since it began. They pushed Romney and didn't want any other candidates getting time with the public. This is just more of the same. Their attempt to shove a candidate down my throat doesn't win my support. In fact, it irritates me and makes me suspicious and resistant. The last time the establishment gave us McCain, a sometimes conservative, and a-total-loser who would not fight BO because it was beneath him!?! Before that they gave us Bush, another sometimes conservative with big spending habits including compassionate conservatism, ie, liberal social programs. How many of these big spending establishment types who refuse to fight for conservative ideas are just irked with Newt because he made them reduce spending? His service as speaker was successful at reducing welfare and getting people back to work. The political class of politicians and media all benefit when government grows. It is more money and more opportunity for them. For us, it is more enslavement. I think we have seen how small their intent is to reduce government. Newt has his problems and I don't know that he can be elected because of that and the establishment's resistance to him. Yet, the establishment's resistance may be the best clue that he would be the right candidate.

I haven't chosen a candidate, but I want whomever will beat Obama. I want all of our candidates to be good street fighters because that is what it is going to take. Republicans usually suck when it comes to that. They usually just take the garbage that Dems sling at them. The Republican establishment seems to be finally getting that conservatives want someone who can and will street fight. That Romney has shown some ability in that direction is reassuring to me. And, no, I don't and didn't want McCain as president, but I worked on his campaign. Why? Because I knew what Obama was and I REALLY didn't want him.

The candidates get stronger and I think this is exactly why we need all these debates. If Romney can handle Newt than he will be able to handle Obama and probably the press, and maybe better than Newt. Romney is disciplined Newt isn't. Now, will Romney be conservative? Will Newt?

Like the Democrats, the GOP has it's obnoxious elites, who think they know what is best for us and that includes picking our presidential candidate. These Republicans don't want the change the Tea Party wants. They like the big government, big spending habits that both parties have. To them the 2010 election meant that they had the reins of spending back in their hands to implement for their benefit and burden us with more debt and enslavement to them. We have to keep slamming these Washington DC elites in both parties to the ground. They are parasites and think we exist merely to support them.
