Not every comic is colored that way. And lets be honest, the amount of talent in comics today out does what's been done during the 50's 60's and 70's. Not to say there weren't amazing comic artists back then. But today, the sheer volume of talent and variation in styles of art and writing is astounding. I don't collect superhero spandex stuff anymore. But I can say that today's comic is a lot better in terms of story-telling, reproduction, art, and presentation. But one thing Bay is good at is coordinating a fairly intricate action scene. He is good on what to show you in terms of eye candy. I am glad to hear he stopped a lot of the close-up camera shots in this sequel though. Bay for the most part isn't a deep thinker's director by any means. He makes grandiose, well-executed, action porn. And it's perfect for a movie like Transformers.
