While money is shoveled into Komen by the trainloads, other cancer research institutes are left begging for funding that decreases exponentially... not to mention the heavy emphasis on "Breast Cancer Awareness Month"... meanwhile, when is "Prostate Cancer Awareness Month" -would women buy items marketed with brown ribbons?

It will be interesting to see the backlash from this latest announcement; will religious organizations come out against Komen now, and suggest that people donate directly to organizations endorsed by their religious affiliations?
