Tragic, yes. But unfortunately not unexpected. There are two things about her that stick in my head. First was when she played at the Pond in Anaheim, in one of the first concerts there. It was reported that, about twenty minutes into the show, she berated the audience for not responding as she thought they should...and then walked off stage. Second is a quote in Time magazine that, although taken out of context, is pretty clear: "America f***ed with me. White America f***ed with me." I am sorry she fell down a drug-induced spiral - that's always sad. I pray for her family, especially her daughter. But I was never a fan of hers.
