Thanks, on both counts, Marcie!
Thanks, Cindy... very hopeful signs with Gordy, I\'m just so grateful that he got such good CPR so quickly... We actually had some SUNSHINE today, thank goodness, washing got dry, otherwise it might have been bed sheet togas for us tomorrow as the rest of the clothes were wet!
Audrey, thanks for the good thoughts. Eunju is awesome and I think the ICU nurses are a bit in awe of her! Gordy is responding to her voice, that\'s a good sign, so everyone\'s very hopeful...
Lisa, thank you so much for remembering Gordy to Stewart too! We\'re still waiting for news but he\'s getting the best possible care and the early CPR after the arrest bodes well...
Thank you, Annie. Gordy is indeed a tough dude and we\'re hoping for the best. Taking it one day at a a time...
I\'m fine, Cathy, a bit black a blue! Yep, it really is us older women who stop and pick up the pieces.... going back to school has made for a stressful day today but will give me lots to talk about in group therapy tomorrow, LOL! It\'s a bit scary but there opportunity is there and I have to do something that is in line with my values - I need to get out of my head and into my LIFE!
Aha! Will try the borax - we only have one rug, so that\'s easy! (The rest of the floors are wood). The new drug has worked well but didn\'t last a whole month - I think because the local infestation is just so bad at the moment.
Laurie, that\'s a clever trick! I will try that. Also I now have l0razepam to take... cheating? Nah, another tool to use, that\'s how I\'m thinking of it!! My dentist is very gentle but any amount of holding my mouth open hurts!
Thanks, Marcie. As I was driving today and listening to a Radio National program on the importance of oral history, I heard one of my professors from way back - just as I was thinking of why I was inspired to study history in the first place (Dr Peter Read at the ANU, who is a champion of giving those who have had no voice in history a chance to tell their side. Important stuff to me, too.)
Thanks, Audrey - a sucky club to be a member of, the \"I\'ve lost a sister club\" - but nice to remember them. It must have been really tough watching your Mum go downhill so fast like that, too.
