Hello Kevin, I think you should be aware of the news and what is going on with the news. I can't speak for Rik as I am only a beginner but what I do first before placing any trades such as the Income Generator or "IG" as some in the class call it - is to look at the news on Reuters and ForexFactory including the weekly calendar. If there is anything major that could affect the currency pairs I deal with then I add this to my research process when looking at a trade.

One thing the Master Trader course taught me - and its the most important I feel - is that you need to take full advantage of your mentoring because the K2A traders have been trained to look at you as a person and help you trade better. For this reason I "filter" advice and opinion I read on net about Forex.

Is news important? I think so. Will it stop me placing a trade such as an IG - maybe. If the setup is there and you stick to the rules then reviewing the news is just one part of placing a trade.

Hope this helps.

Hi James - one thing I notice is that K2A mentoring looks at you as a person instead of applying a boiler-plate approach. Rik my mentor is helping me with my mindset as this is the most important thing I need help with right now. For other traders they may have their mindset sorted already and need help with executing the strategies.

Thanks James. The course is great. There is a heap of focus on trader mindset - I would say the first 2 days - 50% of the content is helping you look at the FX market as a professional which includes how your mindset should be.

Hi Jim, not much at present :) Using ForexFactory.com right now and Reuters.com. I have just brought a Dummies Guide to Fundamental Analysis which I will read soon.

Hi Sam,

Nope - I am not a staff member of Knowledge to Action. I did not pay to attend the course as I am a NZ property investor who is looking at forex and agreed to set up a blog to detail my experiences. I paid for my own travel expenses from Wellington to Sydney to sit the course and I pay $130.00 USD per month to run eSignal out of my own money and so far have spent about 3k in costs. If I find something bad about them I can write about it - they have not told me to lie.

I follow the live trading floor alerts but I also look at the markets myself and attempt to make some trades without waiting for the alerts.

Hi Kewl, thanks for the reply.

Yep I have meet one person that is making $$ after the K2A course. However I don't seek out other ex-K2A grads.

Plus I am not making any real money yet because I am paper trading first. You would be a complete idiot to trade Forex with your real money without paper trading first. I will start trading with my real account in about 2 months - thats when I think I will have a feel for the market.

Personally the K2A strategies work for me. Each to their own.
