Atheist Revolution : Asking Why

My wife and I don't watch the Superbowl because we have no interest in sports. Like you, we get the same reaction from others--people think we're bizarre creatures from some other planet. I used to have some close friends who reacted the same way to my dislike of sports. I found it curious that they considered me odd when they were the ones who spent hours each week jumping around, screaming and hurling things at the TV.

Atheist Revolution : Mormonism: Cult, Christianity, or Both?

They have many hallmarks of a cult. As to whether or not they're Christian, I'm certainly not going to play NTS with them. They call themselves Christians so they're Christians.

Atheist Revolution : Delegitimizing Atheists in the Media

I find those qualifiers irritating and insulting. It seems to me they're used to imply we're just labeling ourselves atheists, while we're really still believers (like all decent people are). We're just rebellious children going through a phase until we grow up and admit we believed all along. Ugh.

Atheist Revolution : Do You Support Religious Businesses?

I do what I can to avoid blatantly religious businesses. I also boycott any business/corporation that donates to anti-gay or similar causes . It can get tough at times as the list has grown quite large but I refuse to knowingly fund my own oppression by giving it to people who are going to turn and use it against me and mine.

Atheist Revolution : Ahlquist Stands Up for Separation of Church and State and Wins

Sadly she's being pummeled with hatred and threats of violence from loving, moral Christians who can't stand having their unearned, undeserved privilege challenged. It's terrifying how vicious God's chosen ones get when they aren't allowed to force their beliefs on everyone.

Atheist Revolution : Sharia Ban Unconstitutional

Of course it's unconstitutional. What I find most amusing and annoying is that the biggest proponents of these "No Sharia" laws are the ones who are staunch advocates of "Biblical Law". They don't even see the hypocrisy of their positions.

Atheist Revolution : Sexism in the Atheist Community: Introduction

Yes there's some sexism in the atheist community but it's not like it's unique to atheism. Sexism exists in the atheist community because it exists in society. I daresay the sexism in the atheist community is far less pervasive and insidious than that in most religious groups, and possibly somewhat less than what exists in general society.

Atheist Revolution : Social Pressure Does Not Constitute a Ban

Unfortunately any time Christians are denied privilege they see it as a ban on Christianity, and they react accordingly. It's one of the unfortunate side-effects of them having so much undeserved, unearned privilege for so long.

Atheist Revolution : My Take on Lowe's Pulling Their Ads

I agree. These "family" groups are nothing more than bullies who work to pressure others into bending to their will. It would be too easy to ignore this incident because we're not the targets, but in many other cases we are. It's best to denounce all of their irrational, bigoted, egotistical demands for the good of everyone.

Atheist Revolution : Has the Right Finally Adopted 'Kill the Poor' as Their Official Slogan?

RRRWers believe God helps those who help themselves, and that if someone's suffering ill-fortune (illness, poverty, disaster) it's because of their own moral failings ("sin", lack of faith, falling prey to Satan/temptation). It's logical that they would have no empathy for the poor, the sick, disaster victims, etc. If only those people would repent and embrace God, they'd enjoy the good fortune the wealthy RRRWers do.
