TechCrunch : Jobs: A Free Case For Every iPhone 4 User

My guess is that a bumper case will be in the box of new iPhone 4's sold after September 30th. I doubt they are going to find a real fix for this since the antenna is on the outside of the phone (which I don't see them changing), which is really why the issue is so prominent with the iPhone 4. Other phones have attenuation issues, but not as extreme.

TechCrunch : Skype Blocks, Threatens To Sue Fring (Update: Skype Says Fring Is Lying)

Skype goes after a company that actually enhances what Skype offers. I have a Skype account and was excited about using Fring to use mobile video chat. Since Skype doesn't offer this themselves all they are doing is opening the door for a competitor to step into this space. Fring made Skype more useful and retained users. Now I hope someone new comes in and knocks it out of the park with a great mobile -> mobile and mobile -> desktop video chat solution that works over 3G.

TechCrunch : Former Facebook CTO: 'Google Me' Is Real, And It's Gunning For Facebook

Google needs to make sure they do not roll this out before it is truly ready. Buzz & Wave were not ready so the user experience was poor. That initial response by users has really hurt those product offerings. If they roll this out before it is truly a better offering than Facebook they will fail once gain. And any privacy snaffu will kill this project as well.

ChurchCrunch : Is Your Ministry Trying to Catch Up or Just Copy?

I actually find it more sad that Churches hold onto their code. I would love to see an open sourcing movement for Church technology.

ChurchCrunch : One Billion Minutes: Reading the Mobile Word

I would have to say that I am reading my Bible far more often since I have it on my iPhone. This is one area that my iPhone has truly helped me to get more scripture into my head. And I use the YouVersion app, and am looking forward to the upcoming reading plans feature.

ChurchCrunch : Marriage is Like Video Sex via Skype as Online Church is To...

I see 'Online Church' as simply a tool at our disposal to reach more people. There are people who are camped out in their homes on the computer far more than we may want to know. And this behavior makes it so traditional relational techniques simply will not reach these people. And I believe that this group is a growing breed. How can we reach these people if we have no means to interact with them? I see 'Online Church' or eVangelism as essentially a way to reach people where they are, and in this sense, physically where they are (at their computer). We can reach a whole subset of our culture that is nearly impossible to reach using traditional methods. As long as the technology doesn't change the message then the gospel is being spread.

Jeff Bristow dot COM : Why Pro-Life?

Why Pro Life is the best book I have read on this subject. I hope more people will read it, Randy doesn't get clogged up with the arguments of the day, and just tells it like it is with compassion and evidence. It is a great read.

30GB of MP3 storage for only like $30. Woot special. I use my iPhone mostly, but I do like my old Zune. And the Zune software is better than iTunes in my opinion, though I rarely use it since my iPhone is with me all the time.

Ragamuffin Soul : Question for NON WORSHIP LEADERS

When did any song begin to accelerate believers to a closer place with God? Worship is not about music. It is about honoring our Lord with our lives. Singing praises to Him is simply a small portion of our Worship and is focused on Him and not on us. I am surprised that so many believers are able to point to a specific song that accelerates them to a closer place with God.

ChurchCrunch : ESV Study Bible on iPhone

I stopped carrying me hard copy Bible with me a few months ago. I have been using the Bible app made by YouVersion on my iPhone and love it, and it is free. I know the downside is that I need to have access to the internet to use it, but I have yet to be in a location that I am unable to do my daily reading in the Bible app made by YouVersion. I have had a few people look at me funny during the Worship service, they probably think I am texting when I am looking up the verses being talked about during the sermon.
