Ug...dead on here Matt. I've been blogging for about 2 months and it's easy to become a numbers-gazer. It really is futile and I think the root of it (for me at least) is insecurity and the stupid need for validation.
Bottom line is that we are all called to encourage the body of Christ, with or without validation. I'm trying to make that my new focus.

I'd have to say this was the most moving thing I've ever seen in my life. So authentic and sincere. This is not exploitation. They told an emotional story and it just happen to be in front of thousands of people. Was it intended to enlist more Compassion sponsors. Yeah. So what. You could exploit the heck out of my life if it meant rescuing kids from poverty.
