Totally agree Ryan, I am of the same mindset. I believe in the church and I understand that there will be flaws in it, but that doesn't mean there won't be in 'a cause' either. Thanks for the thoughts.

First thought: A small group of people.
Next more in depth thought than the obvious: Closeness.

I think of small groups like when you hang out with a work friend outside of work. It's a whole new level of your friendship. Same when you get together in small groups. You become close with those people; a new level of friendship is developed and cultivated.

I know not everyone is a fan, but I typically enjoy small groups.

Great post, Ryan. A fine line to say the least.

Yes. All at the same place? Probably not. I can see it split up and continue meeting while others attend other churches. I attend a fairly large church that barely fits in its current auditorium now. Housing would be a factor.

Also, our church is pastored by its founder. *I believe churches who have had other pastors over the years would be able to survive without their pastor better than ones who have only known one pastor.) There seems to exist a stronger leadership in the deacons who have had to run a church by themselves than others who have only served with a constant pastoral leadership.

*(generally speaking of course)

Interesting. I would think most would just find another church down the street. Without any kind of promotion, I can't imagine many if any would show up the following year.

I can get that. Really online in general is like that. The Internet provides people with the ability to converse by simply talking instead of waiting for the other person to finish talking. #subtle movie reference.

Ha! Not that bad. Indoor plumbing FTW!
