Nutn2say I admire your passion, however you don't know me and you would lose your bet regarding me watching alot of sports. "Thanks for the lack of help" ... I know you're frustrated... but I must say I just DON'TKNOW what to do and I am not copping out. I asked you to keep me posted so I will know what to do. Thank you CowgirlUp for taking the time to send this information. Unfortunately, it made me sick. I know reconciliation was used once or twice in the Clinton and Bush administration however it wasn't for anything of this significance. I listened to the Senator from NH (sorry forgot his name the Rep who turned down the commerce secretary job) and he said that reconciliation has never been used in this magnitude ... it will bypass the Senate where there is debate and go directly to the president to be signed... he said it's like the Senate is standing in name only.

You are exactly right ... this is how the adminstration will get away with not raising taxeson 95% of families.

I don't want to see Universal Health care in the US.. people don't realize that this will significantly reduce the quality of care. I know people who live in Canada and England and they complain about it all the time and some come to US for operations because of wait time or care they aren't able to receive there.

If you have any ideas of what we might do as citizens to voice our opposition, a petition etc, please let me know. Not that Pelosi and Reid or anyone else in this administration care but perhaps we can make our voices heard. Thanks again

I know kckshrugged... My co workers and I would call and email the union leaders but nothing ever came out of it. It's unfortunate but other than doing this and talking among ourselves no one ever seem to go beyond that,I feel remiss now that I feel so strongly about the way our country is going. I have been getting alot of follow ups like yours and planto do some investigating this week. I don't know where else they would be getting the money from but from our dues to send us this literature. Also in the union magazine we receive quarterly it will have full page ads and tell uswhich candidate to support during election time. It seems that this really stepped up once Bush was in office. Thanks for lighting the spark under me.

Yes Lowman, I think so too... from what I understand AIG is going to sue the government because they said it was against the constitution... the outcome will be interesting
