Hi Nelson...I think a twitter screen could be put through a proxima or a wide screen TV run via a laptop. Then visitors to clubs, bars and restaurants could see their messages displayed publicly on the twitter screen. Lots of flirty fun fopr certain types of establishments. A nice side effect is that you would capture all the contact details for people wanting to post messages (they'd have to become followers) and feed the twitter feed onto your facebook fan page or a blog for people to see who weren't at the event. If anyone tried this, please post replies back here and some results.
@Amanda...thanks! Always good to get some feedback. @Mr Chakrobati, I wouldn't suggest stopping your existing advertising spending without measuring if its effective or not. The new marketing methods outlined in the report will enable you to track the responses from newspaper advertising if you advertise, for instance, a code in the newspapers that people can input into your website. Much more detail will come out in the full course about how to properly implement this "old school" advertising tracking. If it isn't working after you've run a test on a large enough sample of eyeballs, then by all means stop it. Hope that helps.
