So, when the Bible says " “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.”

Isn't this the biblical statement on the origin of "living creatures" or "wild animals?"

As a Christian, shouldn't our approach be: "“If you fight the BIBLE, you are going to lose your children, and I believe in telling them the way it was,"?

We can debate the number of years. However, dinosaurs ARE WITHIN the time of the Bible. It clearly states: " And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good." Genesis 1:24-25.

You had over 250 words to give us a solid rebuttal and all you give us is another look at how KJVOs respond. To suggest that the NIV translators were motivated by money is blasting the character of men you do not even know. No one debates the ability of the KJV translators. They were certainly devout men. They were also tied to the Anglican church and were restricted by King James to maintain Anglican traditions/beliefs in their translating work.

About Ruckman... I am glad that you see the controversial nature of the man. Yet, you cannot deny his influence in the KJVO movement.

The ads are automatically generated by Google. I will restrict offensive ads. Just send me the link.

I know that people may find some of the ads to be counterintuitive to the scope of this site. Since sites all over the www have ads, people generally know that the ad does not reflect the positions of the sites on which they appear.

Google has deployed new advertising features. If you visit a site like Home Depot, you will see the products in the ads. They will follow you from site to site. It is the way of the adsense world.

Whether something is the nature of the internet or not, charging someone with being "proud, divisive and dishonest" WITHOUT corroborating evidence from Ken's writings is wrong.

I have given you a couple of opportunities to give us solid evidence that this is the case with Ken. I have read the book above and do not find it to be proud, divisive and dishonest. Therefore, since you will continue to be divisive and malicious on my site I have now blocked any further comment from you.

All you are doing is bringing secondary accounts of what other people are saying about Ken. Isn't that dishonest? Should you not bring the full issue to the table?

Since you have posted the above links, I think it is instructive to link to what set off the current homeschooling issue. Ken posted this: http://blogs.answersingenesis.org/blogs/ken-ham/2...

I must ask... since Peter Enns denies a historical Adam, does not Ken Ham have the right to point that out? When people set aside a grammatical/historical interpretation of Scripture in favor of scientific/archaeological opinion, there is a real danger. It is not orthodox and it is rightly called compromise.

BTW: NONE of the above has anything to do with this book review. You may not agree with Ken's Creationism beliefs. That does not mean you should take an opportunity to slander him on this site using third party information.

Can you support your slanders with evidence?

Since God did not say he was going to restrict His word to an Anglican translation made in 1611, we are to enjoy His word as it is presented in all viable translations. The Holy Spirit uses the word when it is made clear. Nehemiah 8

Why should we attempt to prove the supernatural by science, math and logic? That is not logical. Yes, we discredit atheism. Why are we not allowed to? You discredit what we believe.

God is not provable by human means. That is absurd and truly is not necessary. No one needs to prove the existence of One who is already known.

If you truly want to discuss this, then let's do so without the heightened emotional response.
