Yay! I'm so glad to see that you two can be comfortable with yourselves. It's such a shame the number of wonderful lives we've lost lately because of intolerance. It makes me happy that you two are blessed with wonderful families and friends who you can count on.

My cousin, whom I'm very close to and love VERY VERY much, is gay. For the longest time, he couldn't even talk to his mother without her breaking down in a Xanax induced (because he was gay) fit screaming at him, me and anyone else on the block that he was going to hell. Yeah, it was a bad Christmas. So eventually, he "went back in the closet" and moved in with us. When he was with us, he was so happy, because he could be himself. I layed in bed with him while he cried because he wanted his mom to accept him. She's all he's had all his life, and he felt like in order to keep her, he had to lie. It was really hard on him.

Luckily, a few months ago, his mom came around. She doesn't believe he's going to hell anymore. She doesn't look at him and see GAY written on his forehead. She sees her son now. Before, she wouldn't even let ME use my cousin's boyfriend's name in her house (no joke). About a month ago, she actually met his then boyfriend.

I'm just glad he can be openly happy now.

People can have their beliefs. I won't condemn anyone for that. And I won't tell anyone they are wrong for what they believe. But to all the people who believe that if you're gay, you will face punishment, or some crap, here's what I believe: I believe that when the time comes, you won't be judged based on WHO you loved, only THAT you loved.
