There was some really funny material in this episode, especially the Doppelgängers... lesbian Robin was hilarious. As much as the episode wasn't solid from start to finish, there was still a lot of positives to be taken from it. The clues of the mother are starting to accumulate, and it almost feels as if we know her, without meeting her (which of course we have NOT yet). As much as Robin's actions seemed foreign to us this episode, it isn't the first time we have seen her act this way (a la "Ted Mosby, Architect), so even though many people weren't feeling it, I thought it was realistic.

P.S. someone posted an article in the forum section of the site in regards to the 100th episode. It is a must read!!!

After a disappointing night at the Emmy's, How I Met Your Mother certainly sent a big "REALLY?" in the direction of the Academy. It was a great episode to start off a season that surely will have a atmosphere that we aren't used to. The humour was so well written and Barney and Robin's relationship is totally believable. Jason Segel is hilarious.

Reading over all of the previous posts, it is obvious just how funny this episode was, as many readers have posted "...I can't believe you didn't mention this!" in response to JD's post.

Last year around episode 4 or 5 everyone was complaining that she was rail thin... we need to give it a rest. She gave birth 4 months ago... i think she can be forgiven.

So excited for the premier next monday!!!

NPH is head and shoulders above the other nominations, and should take the award. I totally agree with KJO with respect to HIMYM winning in the future by using NPH's win as a stepping stone, but my vote still goes to them this year for their fantastic work this past season!
