It's a sneaky that the colonial bastards equated Lebanon and the West Bank with the same color and anonymity.
The national aviation company has been suffering because it was prevented from purchasing new airplanes. But they somewhat managed to bypass the spare parts bit. The only Syrian Airplanes that are operating are the ones that meet the international safety criteria. Plus there are plenty of alternatives to Syrian Airways. With only 6 operating planes, Syrian Airlines contribute to a small part of the aviation traffic to Syrian airports. Which is by far the only sector that's been directly hit by the absurd sanctions.
The IT sanction is obsolete long before it was lifted. The markets in Syria are drowned with the latest computer technology. PC's, Laptops and software you name it. There's no shortage of IPods and McBooks although they're not so popular in Syria. So thanks for nothing Obama. Like we should be thankful for this rather insulting gesture that does not live up to the "Change" that only an idiot would believe in!
I couldn't see the video, Youtube blocked this video for the Middle East "due to copyright restrictions"!__Ill advised that Hip-hop singers are trying to compensate for their cultural bankruptcy by echoing Hollywood stereotypes about Arabs. This obviously will not help prolong the popularity of this decaying music genre.__
It's a good educational video, it shows people how cheesy imperialism is. I guess I won't be listening to Ciline for while...
...So in brief, funding Israeli occupation is tax deductible. While donating to starved imprisoned Palestinians is legally punishable. Bingo Nawal, bingo indeed!
"أيها المارون
بين الكلمات العابرة
إجمعوا أسمائكم و انصرفوا"
Palestinian Poet Mahmoud Darwish put it best:
"Oh passers among passing words...
Gather your names and go away"
What about Al-Jazeera's cameraman, Sami Alhaj, who was released from Guantanamo after six years of aggravated imprisonment. His story should be more worthy of a bestselling book about the war that the U.S. is waging against freedom of the press.
Easy for you to say, Israeli who is in London. Israeli discrimination is even between Jews. If you have ever lived in Israel you would know that Arab and eastern Jews in Israel are considered inferior to western Jews. And I'm sure there's a lot more religious freedom in Arab countries than there is in the theo-centric Zionist state.
Iraq has a troubled modern history in which millions of people of all backgrounds died for all kinds of reasons. The Jew murdered in Yemen is an isolated incident, and at least it was officially condemned, unlike the killing of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza.
On the other the Jews lived peacefully with Arabs for centuries. Before 1948 they where represented in the Syrian parliament for, and they had their own courts. In Morocco today one of the King's counselors is a Jew, pretty good for a minority of just 4000 people, wouldn't you say!
