Yea, super heros without cliché is like coffee without cream nowadays. I promise to try to drop a few surprises and twists in.

The backstory I mentioned is even deeper then this, going into they whys and wherefores as well as changes to the wrold around us. Some of which you'll see soon.

This idea has been bouncing around in my head for almost 20 years in one form or another. Just recently things fell into place and I was able to put it together.

My niece has been trying to get me to read those for a couple years. Will have to add it to my book list. Someone also pointed out it's similar to "I am Number Four" and the new "Alphas" on SyFy (god I hate that name).

This was very much a set-up piece. Partly because I wanted to get the 'world' established and partly because I'm not exactly sure how to do the actions scenes just yet. :)

And yea, the Highlighter thing is tough, but I figure, nothing ventured nothing gained :)

@john: @melissa: Yea, I know what you mean about the rules. I was trying to set it apart the typical zombie stories, and do it quickly. Didn't quite work, but that what experimentation is for :) Glad you like the rest of it. I'm planning on expanding this little world once I get the 'voice' nailed down.

Thanks for the comment Deanna. I'm glad it didn't suck :) I'm really bad at horror, or mock-horro (I creep myself out too much) so it's good that it at least came across like I wanted.
