Commentary Magazine : Problems Loom as Romney Stops the Bleeding

Our best hope is a brokered convention. In that event, Sarah Palin will be the nominee. And despite her many flaws, she is the only one who can gin up some real enthusiasm in the GOP ranks.

Antiwar.com Original Articles : The 'Cairo 19' Got What They Deserve

Egypt is a protectorate of the US. They get a lot of aid money. They will probably go ahead with the prosecutions publicly, and then make a deal in the dead of night. Those 19 will simply turn up in the USA unexpectedly after they are sentenced to death in Egypt, and no public announcements will be made. Of course, if Egypt's new government cancels the peace treaty, all bets are off. The aid money will disappear overnight, and Egypt's only remaining leverage will be those 19.

News From Antiwar.com : Israel May Welcome Regime Change in Syria, Analysts Say

Regime change in Syria will weaken Iran's imperial influence, but will strengthen Turkey. Turkey is also an enemy of Israel, and borders Syria - thus Turkey could send in troops. I don't see how that helps Israel all that much. Israel's best interest is to keep Syria preoccupied in a civil war for years and years. If they are stuck in a slow grinding war of attrition they can't threaten Israel much, and that forces Iran to waste resources bucking up its ally.

News From Antiwar.com : Iran to Unveil 'Big News in the Nuclear Field'

Oh please Iran. Do a nuclear test. Stop holding back. Just do it. And after you do, Israel will overcome its liberal inhibitions and hit the launch button. Your country will disappear in 100+ beautiful mushroom clouds. It will be soooo glorious, it could even bring the Madhi back from Hell.

News From Antiwar.com : US Frets Israeli Attack on Iran

Here is the plan as I see it. Iran is goaded into doing a nuclear test. 15 minutes later Israel hits Iran with 100 nuclear warheads. This is the permanent end of Iran. To me, this is the only plan that makes sense. Israel is not willing to use nukes against a country that has not demonstrated possession of nuclear weapons. The Jews are simply too hand-wringing and moralistic to do that. But stopping Iran from achieving the power it seeks requires massive use of nuclear weapons. Only way to break the logical impasse is to get Iran to beat its chest and do a nuclear test.

Commentary Magazine : The Real Reasons Conservatives Oppose Gingrich

Limbaugh has it right. Mittens is a safe loser, who won't have any coattails in the Congressional races one way or the other. Gingrich is an all or nothing candidate. He will have maximal coattails. If he wins, the party wins big. If he loses, all the House seats, Senate seats, Statehouses, and Governorships go Democrat as well. And since Bernanke is Obama's best friend, the GOP nominee is expected to lose.

A 50% rise in oil prices is a big yawn. Natural speculative forces can do that on their own. Remember, oil was that high before, in 2007-2008. I want to see that 12th Imam crawl out of Hell to claim his Kingdom. This would truly be a spectacle to behold.

Commentary Magazine : The Most Polarizing President Ever

If you add up the numbers, it looks pretty grim without Pennsylvania. This time, it looks like PA really is the Keystone State. If you want to add up the electoral votes yourself, go to this page and make some assumptions http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/pres... If you give the GOP VA, NC, FL, and OH, they are still 4 Electoral Votes short. I expect CO to go for Obama b/c of the Hispanic vote. NH and WI are liberal and will go for Obama. The only one left is PA.

Don't bother. Nobody cares about "credible evidence" one way or the other. The whole point of Israel's killing of Iranian nuke scientists is to goad Iran into firing missiles first and starting a real war. If this incident doesn't do the trick, there will be more and more until they do.

Of course we are afraid of them. Iran acquired nukes from the Former USSR 20 years ago. Iran has a missile base in Venezuela. Its current nuke efforts are merely so it can obtain a superpower sized arsenal.

I expect Iran to do something like send a massive amount of troops into Iraq, to help their Shiite "friends". Then they can buck up their puppet regime in Syria, and topple Jordan. Israel will be completely surrounded by Iran and its proxies. This is how the war will start.

You got it wrong. Wiping the most holy site is part of the plan. It will be their final act after losing to Israel. They know scripture. Once the path is clear for the Temple to be rebuilt, Israel will build it. This is the recipe to bring on Armageddon, which is what Iran wants.

Israel is only a pseudo-ally of the US, and people need to be reminded of that. However, that is no reason to dump Israel. The USA has alliance relationships with many treacherous snakes in the world (particularly in the EU). We have many common interests with the Israelis, but people need to always be aware that Israel is a country, that like most countries, pursues its own interests first and foremost.
