Good advice. I have three daughters. They agree with my assertion that the most irresistible feature a young woman might possess is simply not being 'easy.' The unobtainable is irresistible. They have spines enough to tell me different if this were not the case....and they have in many other instances.

Catholic charities account for an enormous amount of charity and social services. A conspiratorial person might think that driving this need to the government would increase government control of the populace....

Even the liberal bishops that drive me crazy have protested this atrocity. I think this one has legs.

You are a bigot. There is a HUGE difference between Catholic women and men disagreeing and disobeying the Church, and Catholics consenting to a government takeover of their Church. Catholics feel endangered by this. All faiths trying to live their beliefs should feel endangered by this. This is a big deal. Your position is indefensible.

Well said! We must secure the WH with the candidate we have. It looks like the state battles will promote gains in conservatism before the national battles will bear any fruit. Think Arizona, Wisconsin, Indiana (RTW), there are others I just don't have the list in my head. We need to work locally, work long-term, and work to find a candidate that can articulate conservative values from the WH. Until then, in the general election, it looks like we settle for now.

I have no enthusiasm for Newt or Mitt either. Both are at the Ruling Class Trough eating our money and destroying other candidates. But I will hold my nose and vote for one of them over Obama.

This is a true emergency, and if we can't get our ideal candidate through the primaries, we have to secure the White House with the one that we have. Not voting to unseat The One translates to voting for a double-down on the oppressive and enslaving policies of the last four years he has enacted through executive orders, legally and illegally. We must stop this, and it won't be pretty.

The Tea Party is active, but is active in politically productive activity rather than just demonstrations. They are alive and well.

Conservative > RINO > flatworm > Harvard faculty > Democrat in value as lawmakers. Right now it's RINO season. Weed out the RINOS in the primaries, and then fall back and vote Republicans into office in the general election. The primaries are where we don't settle. RINO's are out of season in the general election. In a general election, a third party vote from the right would elect Dems who are doing active violence to our freedoms. The enemy of good is better. Demands of purity and perfection will never be met. We must vote sometimes for the candidate that will do the least harm, and tee 'em up for a primary challenge in two years.
