Wowza, that was a suck-arse day. You deserved a scotch float. It's hard to have a sick animal because they can't say "oh, I'm feeling dizzy" or "I'm starting to feel better, thanks for the baby food!" Will be thinking healing thoughts for pup, MIL and the brave Hibbard-Carter family holding it all together.

Thanks for the review, just read it and now I'm craving a big hunk o' cake (and maybe a side of BBQ).

un ballon rouge pour vous
(translated that on Babel Fish, so apologies if it's incorrect)

Thank you for venting that, even in France, blues come and go. You can always make those Toll House Cookies. I'm a bit more hesitant on that butter/cheese combo.

Thanks ETC. I was feeling a little lonely in my quiet work-from-home office today and this lovely poem/vid was exactly what I needed to see.

A. I was kinda thinking about writing up the Ninja Warrior experience for Mondays TDoN :-) It's going to be AWEsome!

B. You do know one couple that eloped to the beach, the Robinsons! I started planning a wedding, got a headache and bitchy and said "F-it", hired a lovely woman off the internets and got married 2 weeks later. She, Elizabeth, presided over our sunset nuptials on Zuma Beach, made us delicious rosemary shortbread, with rosemary from her garden and remains a friend of ours over 8 years later. We had a party for family and friends a few months later. Good thing, cause wedding planning stress is painful and this was pre-blogging world, so instead of venting like Scenery Chewer, I would have gone all Kirk Douglas in Falling Down on this city.

(PS Elizabeth is at marriagetogo.com - She's super amazing)

I, like Ole Poop Face, died quickly on the Oregon Trail. I guess that's better than being a carpenter!

I am that mythical creature...now. Big ups to the Santa Monica Public Library for sending an auto-generated email reminder to me 2 days before my books are due.

Back in Chicago, however, I had to wait for the annual "grace" day to bring back my stacks because I held on to stuff. Isn't there a max on what you pay? The amount the book is worth or some such?

Brilliant post etc. I made choice A a few years back, then was seduced back to choice C. That makes me mental. You are very right about recommitting over and over and over (repeat x 5 bazillion daily). Thanks for the reminder and sharing your journey.

Oh man, I remember prank calls we would make during sleepovers. That was fun!

Thought provoking article, I often lament the loss of "I don't know". Any question we have now can be answered by a quick search on your phone/laptop/iPad and I think imagination has suffered a blow because of it.

I would love to be a full-on luddite and be fully in the actual (versus virtual) world, but my job, my hobby and my family are full on in the internets.

Excellent question. It would depend on which Doctor. Definitely Tom Baker, probably David Tennant, positive side of maybe on the others.
