A few things that need to be in the next game (including some that pasta mentioned): 1) Full and complete Online franchise mode including trading draft picks, salary cap, accurate CPU trade logic, ability to go longer than 10 seasons, 2) full web capability (NCAA needs this too) to do trades, cuts, signings, etc. 3) Halftime show including relevant highlights. 4) Updated camera angles to include CUSTOM, wide (like Old Gen Madden). 5) Spectator Mode (MLB has the "radio version" but needs visual as well) 6) Ability to upload actual NCAA draft classes from NCAA game into the online Franchise. Those are the top 6 IMO. Until those are in the game, I view Madden as an incomplete game. I am usually a Madden player but since NCAA offers the only 100% complete football franchise (Madden isn't there yet), I jumped in. Therefore, I can't tell the difference between 2009 to 2010. I think 2010 is a good game but there are still major things missing. The Camera Views just aren't sufficient in my opinion. Full Web capability (that will allow you to do all recruiting online) needs to be in 2011. This will be a huge addition. I would also think additions to the presentation even bringing back the stadium shaking from past editions. I also think making the recruiting deeper and even more challenging. Most 5 star teams get great recruits right off the bat. Spectator mode would also be a welcome addition. I can't think of any other additions, but NCAA is almost there if they make Online Dynasty mode as deep as possible.
