As long as I've been going to games, tailgating has been allowed throughout the south side of Iowa City and University Heights area, UNTIL this year (Think before you drink garbage). So basically what these statistics tell me is only 46 citations were for people truly breaking the law. Id say a fairly low number for a night game! Good job!

All I can say is those "faculty, students and alumni" who said "it was offensive and embarrassing. But others argued it was bold and edgy." really need something better in their life to care about!

Muslim or not, I don't care. What I do know is that he's continuing what Jimmy Carter started.

We don't need to damper our hopes. We're fans, if we think the Iowa football team is going to fly to Iran and destroy their nuclear program, that's perfectly acceptable.. That's what makes sports great.

BUT, I think 1000 copies of this chart should be taped all over the locker room, on each players locker, on their bedroom door, etc... The players need to know, that only wins will get us to where we want to go!

With numbers like this anything less than the Rose bowl will a disappointment.

If Iowa and OSU are undefeated going into that game those tickets will be going for $300 a piece.. I'm glad I bought season tickets!

I don't know why you're talking about our past president, the current one has us in 10% unemployment, and hasn't ended the wars like he said he would. But I digress...

I don't agree with the new law, I think 19 year olds should be allowed into bars. If they get caught drinking it's their own fault. But your logic is off.. Being under 21, and drinking is not a right. Getting into a bar and being under 21 is not the norm, anywhere. It has been something that the city of Iowa City has always looked the other way because of the "persuasion" from downtown bar owners.

If the owner of the Fieldhouse wants to keep his business and it depends on selling to minors, they may want to start greasing the wheels like bar owners have in the past. Otherwise, shut up!

I just paid $1000 for season tickets, and will probably pay another $50 on each game day to park. Sorry, I'm not gonna let someone tell me I can't tailgate.. If I don't drive, don't start a fight, and don't cause any trouble why is this a problem? If someone younger than 21 drinks, they are taking the risks into their own hands. Personal responsibility is a good lesson to learn. If you are going to risk drinking when you are underage, you need to know that there is a possibility that you are going to get caught and have to pay the fine or goto jail. Simple as that!

You wanna complain about the drinking age being 21 you can blame it on 2 groups... Mothers against drunk driving (Look up Candy Lightner on google) and the federal government. This is yet another issue of the federal government encroaching on states rights, which I'm not a huge fan of.

BUT, I do know that young people are crappy drivers, and adding alcohol would only add to that... Catch 22...

It's funny, why 21 though? Why not 20? Why not 30? It all makes me laugh.. I say make it 20 and be done with it.. But then again, I don't really care. I'm old enough to drink, so cheers! If you would have asked me this when I was (19) and paying someone to buy me tall boys at the Fieldhouse I might have had a difference response!

Oh, BTW... This 21 in the bars law is stupid. Why don't they just jack up the fine for underage drinking on both the people drinking and the bar. If you charge $2000 for every person caught drinking in your bar, I sure as hell bet the bar will go to great links to keep underagers from drinking. If you raise the fine to $1000 for being caught, I bet 19 year olds will reconsider drinking!
