This is what happens when politicians concern themselves with paternalism more than day-to-day function. He spent all his time worrying about trans-fat bans and secondhand smoke. When it came to actually keeping the city going, he fell flat.

I doubt the Ethics Panel went after him with both barrels, likely for fear of implicating themselves for the same grift he's been in on for the past 30 years. If ever there was a time for a Special Prosecutor, now would be appropriate. Start with Rangel, see where the blood trail leads.
