almost every retailer has their own way of doing discounts, it is almost a full time job keeping track of them all. It should be good until the expiration date shown there (unless they run out of stock beforehand, which is unlikely)

I think part of the reason unboxing videos got popular was because tech/gadget blogs have/had to cover thousands of products and only have/had a small number of people working for them. So when they have a stack of gear to cover on a weekly basis, and limited time both with the borrowed gear and the employees, unboxing became the compromise between nothing and in-depth. (Interestingly though these days the trend with gadget blogs is to try to go more in-depth)

DSLR/iLCs are nowhere near that number. The CIPA numbers (Jan-Nov 2011) show 14.5 million interchangeable lens cameras. The iPhones sold 37 million in just three months.

There is no mirror in the camera, bad translation (by whoever Olympus hired to do the menu translations) is probably not enough to explain this. There is probably another layer of either confusion or firmware/software mess-up.

I check the RSS feed using some of the many RSS reader options, unfortunately I cannot test every possible combination of RSS readers, software that uses RSS and various different computer platforms on a daily basis. It has been working without problems in Google Reader. Please let me know how you are seeing this problem so I can try to figure out what the issues are and also add it to the things I checked regularly so I can catch problems early! Or maybe they still haven't finalized the design or production? it is rather strange that M43rds has nearly 20 different camera models, yet the diversity among the released models is not very ...diverse

A blendorama of a basic P&S and a cameraphone. It has a 3X optical zoom lens and it looks like a 1/2.x" sensor judging by the native focal length of the lens (6.5 - 19.5mm) versus the 36-108mm equivalent. I forgot to include this in the blog-post. Will add soon!

it would be very interesting if Canon released all the different sensor-size and lens design possibilities they considered before deciding on this combination. It would be a fascinating read, but the chances of that happening are very close to absolute zero :(
